OPENING KEYNOTE: Matthew Fienup, PhD., Executive Director of the Center for Economic Research and Forecasting (CERF) at California Lutheran University. Addressed local housing and land use issues, explained the economics behind it all, and provided an overview of innovative solutions discussed within the Housing Solutions Group collaborative.
PANEL:
Noah Ornstein, Leap of Faith, an innovative LA-based developer. Presented information on mechanized stacked parking, modular construction, and other innovative techniques and models they utilize.
Don Monti, Renaissance Downtown USA. Discussed his company’s proprietary impact framework to measure, monitor and guide planning and development efforts to improve the positive impact in every communities they work in.
Tyson Cline, Principal at Roesling Nakamura Terada Architects. Talked about innovative housing to meet our County’s needs including advanced micro-unit solutions, live/work multi-family housing and consensus-based design.
CLOSING KEYNOTE: Mark Schniepp, PhD and Principal at California Economic Forecast. Discussed automated vehicles and the projected changes transportation will have on housing and logistics.
