Raphael Bostic Dr. Bostic is an Associate Professor in USC’s School of Policy, Planning, and Development, Director of the school’s Master of Real Estate Development degree program, and Interim Associate Director of USC Luck Center for Real Estate. Dr. Bostic is an expert on housing and homeownership, and has extensively studied the roles that credit markets, financing and policy play in enhancing household access to economic and social amenities. Dr. Bostic will present the 2007 Economic Outlook for Ventura County. |

Bill Watkins Bill Watkins, Ph.D. is the Executive Director of the Economic Forecast Project at the University of California, Santa Barbara, a position he has held since January 2000. Under Bill Watkins, the UCSB Economic Forecast Project has expanded the geographic scope of its core regional forecasting activities, and it has developed extensive expertise in ancillary issues. These issues include demographic trends, economic development, workforce issues, equity, and California economics. Dr. Watkins will discuss the housing crisis in Ventura County if we take the high road of no affordable housing. |

Charles Maxey Dr. Maxey is Professor of Business Administration and Dean of the School of Business at California Lutheran University. Dr. Maxey has numerous publications in both academic and practitioner journals. His recent research activities involve economic and workforce development issues in Ventura County and assessments of the quality of life in the region.

Michael Goldberg Michael Goldberg has worked as a producer in radio and television, and as a radio station manager since 1978. Prior to forming ActionMedia, he founded the Great Lakes Radio Consortium, a regional environmental news service for public radio stations. Mr. Goldberg will reframe the housing debate while presenting communication tactics in discussing housing issues with local government and beyond. |
